Today Saturday, Charles III was officially declared King of Britain, succeeding his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, according to the British News Agency (PA Media).
Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at the age of 96 at her residence in Balmoral Palace in Scotland.
The Council on the throne, which includes senior politicians, judges and officials, announced today the coronation of Charles III as king of state institutions.
And the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) stated that the flags that flew at half mast in mourning for the late Queen, will be raised again, after the sitting of the throne, which was broadcast on television for the first time.
A wave of other official announcements will continue across Britain until Sunday, when flags will return at half-mast.
