Walt Disney Co on Thursday pulled Rogue Squadron, a Star Wars movie, from next year’s movie schedule, and did not say when a new movie in the hit space franchise would be released.
(Rogue Squadron) was supposed to be the first Star Wars movie to hit theaters since The Rise of Skywalker premiered in December 2019.
The film’s director is known to be Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman. The film had previously been pushed back from 2022 to December 2023 due to Jenkins’ scheduling conflicts.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment on why the film was withdrawn from next year’s film list.
Disney has broadcast several “Star Wars” TV shows in the past few years on its Disney+ streaming service. Her next series, “Andor”, will be broadcast for the first time on Wednesday.
