Officials of the International Football Association “FIFA” confirmed that the sales of tickets for the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar are close to 3 million tickets before the start of the global event next November 20, stressing that there are 10 countries that top the list of the most buying tickets.
Colin Smith, CEO of World Cup operations, spoke to the media, saying: “We have sold nearly 3 million tickets so far, we have a mix of fans from the Arab region and countries of the world, from the Americas and Europe, and there are still tickets available, and we encourage those who want to buy them. By accessing the sites, we will make them available whenever possible.”
The CEO of the World Cup operations indicated that the countries most popular with buying tickets are Qatar, the United States of America, Saudi Arabia, England, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, France, Brazil and Germany.
Qatar, the smallest country to host the World Championship, is preparing to receive an estimated 1.2 million visitors during the World Cup, from November 20 to December 18, 2022, as the first Arab country to host the big football wedding, and for the first time in the winter season in the history of the tournament.
