$78,000 for 140-year-old Levi's jeans

American Michael Harris, who describes himself as an expert in jeans history, stumbled upon old jeans in an abandoned mine in the American West.

After determining the age of the trousers, which turned out to be Levi’s, and dating back to the eighties of the nineteenth century, he decided to sell them at an auction. However, he did not expect things to go with him in the auction better than he expected with his experience, as the pants were sold for $ 78,400, according to the “Sky News Arabia” website.

The buyer of the pants, whose name is Zip Stevenson, said that the discovery of this type of jeans is rare, especially since it is in fairly good condition.

According to Stevenson, Harris, who found the pants, had searched more than 50 abandoned mines for 5 years before he reached this “treasure,” according to the UPI news agency.

It is worth noting that there are other jeans from the same period as the “Levis” that Harris found, and they are displayed in a museum in the United States, but they are damaged and cannot be worn.
