"They warned me not to stay with you" .. Shakira's new song tells of her struggle with Pique

Many believe that the story of Colombian singer Shakira and Spanish footballer Gerard Pique, and their separation that occupied the world, has many chapters that have not yet been told, and they believe that neither of them can escape from this relationship easily, and that it may be linked to most of the details of their future lives.

Recently, the international singer released her new song “Monotonía”, which she sang in Spanish, and was shared by Spanish rapper Ozuna, and is considered Shakira’s first after her famous separation story.
It remains remarkable that the song seemed to tell the story of those feelings that Shakira experienced with Pique and shocked her, as it indicates that she was betrayed because of him, and carries many messages directed to him specifically, as the song tells about the suffering of betrayal, which is a clear indication of betrayal that she received from her lover After 12 years of their relationship.

And clearly, the video clip presented by Habiba Pique, the former, shows her heart breaking as a result of throwing a shell, which leads to him falling to the ground, so she is forced to try to retrieve it and fill the hole that appears clearly in her body because of what her lover did, but her repeated attempts failed, and she cannot return it to its place. She decides to put it inside a box and close it tightly, which shows that she is not intent on entering into new relationships after Pique’s shock. Followers also considered that she wanted to deliver messages to people that she had tried a lot to put things back in order with her ex-boyfriend to no avail, so she decided to close her heart and prevent anyone from entering it.
In contrast to all her dance songs, Shakira appeared in the clip, which achieved more than 24 million views on “YouTube”, one day after it was released, sad and tearful, with features that indicate her great sadness and brokenness.

The lyrics of the song were clear and unequivocal, and Shakira sang: “It wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t mine. It was a monotonous mistake, I didn’t say anything, but it was painful. I knew this was going to happen.”
In another clip, she said: “They warned me not to stay with you, but I did not listen to them. I realized that your story was false. It was the drop that overflowed from the bottle. I congratulate you that you are living your life well.”
Shakira also sings: “You left me because of your narcissism, I forgot what we once were”, and also: “I know I gave more than you, I was running for someone, I didn’t even walk for me.”
It seems that Shakira wanted to put, through this song, to put an end to any rumors that could promote the possibility of her returning to Pique, who seems to be living his life without caring about the end of his story with Shakira.
