The instant messaging service company said in a post on its blog: “This update introduces you to a new power-saving mode, improves Telegram’s performance for Android devices with low specifications, and adds several options for playback speed and more.”

Telegram explained that the beautiful kinetic effects in the application and light effects are designed to make any device look powerful, but they can now be disabled to extend battery life and improve the performance of old devices.

The company added that Power Saving Mode can be set to automatically turn on when your battery reaches a specific percentage, with individual changes allowing you to disable specific effects.

Users of the (iOS) system from Apple can also use the power saving settings to restrict background updates, and Telegram indicated that it does not recommend this, because it will make the phrase “updating” on Telegram appear more than usual.
