Details of the last hours in the life of Wadih, son of George Wassouf

Sultan Al-Tarab bid farewell to George Wassouf, his young son, Wadih Wassouf (39 years old), who passed away after a gastric sleeve operation.

The Lebanese journalist, Nishan, revealed the details of the death of “Wadih,” the son of the artist, George Wassouf, explaining that the gag surgery was successful, he suffered bleeding, and underwent another surgery, followed by three heart attacks, until he surrendered his soul. 

He added, in an intervention during the “Last Word” program presented by the media, Lamees Al-Hadidi, on the “ON” channel, that the deceased suffered three heart attacks within several hours, as it started with the first, and was subsequently transferred to the intensive care room and remained there until five in the morning, and he suffered another heart attack, and the condition worsened with It was noon, confirming that the doctors told the family frankly that the condition was difficult and the complications were exacerbating. It was a difficult day for George Wassouf’s family until he suffered a third crisis in the evening, and an attempt to revive him failed until he surrendered his soul, which is a tragic scene. 

Regarding the legal measures that the family may intend, he said: “I think the family will have a decisive word in case it wants to take legal measures against the hospital that performed Wadih’s surgery.” 

He also denied what was circulated on some news sites and social media that Sultan Al-Tarab was transferred to the hospital after the death occurred, saying: “George Wassouf was not transferred to the hospital after the death of his son, and he was interested in all the details at the funeral and condolence and that George Wassouf was very happy with his presence in Riyadh, until God tested him with the death of Wadih. 

It was also mentioned that the deceased was a decent young man and he represented a lot to the Sultan of Tarab, as he was his back and support in most of the ordeals that the family was subjected to.

George Wassouf accepted condolences throughout Saturday at St. Nicholas Church in Ashrafieh, east of Beirut.

The artist, Wassouf, appeared for the first time after announcing the death of his son Wadih, at dawn on Saturday, sad and tired.
