A group of scientists was able to decipher the scent of perfume, which Cleopatra is said to have used, according to Sky News Arabia. The perfume, whose recipe was written in the inscriptions engraved on the walls of the temples, was said to be made after heating the oil for 10 days before soaking it in the wood.
Over the past years, scientists have intensified their efforts to recreate Cleopatra’s perfume, including what experts Robert Littman and Jay Silverstein did in 2019.
Littman described the scent as “warm, rich, and sweet, with a hint of cinnamon.”
