Singer Belqis announced that she donated all her wages from her concert, which she performed on Wednesday evening at the Global Village in Dubai, in favor of relief for those affected by the earthquake in Syria.
Belqis said in a video clip after the ceremony: “Given the current circumstances, we came up with an idea and I think it is a wonderful initiative between me and the Global Village management in Dubai, which is that the reward I received at the ceremony goes to save the afflicted by the Syrian earthquake.”
And she added, “I hope God will release it to them, and I believe that humanly each one of us must contribute, even a little.”
A large number of stars and celebrities also provided support to the victims due to the earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria at dawn on Monday, resulting in thousands of victims and injured, most notably the artist Nassif Zeitoun, who donated 360 million Syrian pounds.
The star Tim Hassan also donated 107 million Syrian pounds, in coordination with the Artists Syndicate, for the benefit of those affected in the affected governorates.
The Artists Syndicate in Syria thanked the star Sulaf Fawakherji and the star Wael Ramadan, after they donated a sum of money to the earthquake victims in Syria.
