It seems that the happy days that American star Jennifer Lopez lives with her husband and lover, American actor Ben Affleck, have not forgotten the bitterness and pain they experienced after the collapse of their first engagement in 2004.
In a new interview with “Apple Music 1”, the American star recalled the pain she felt. At the time, the 53-year-old said: “It was very painful after the breakup, because once we called off this wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life. I honestly felt like I was going to die.”
And Lopez explained, in her speech, that what she lived at that moment made her live in a spiral for the ensuing 18 years, as she could not understand it correctly, except that now, after 20 years, she lives a happy ending to what happened, describing her story as it will never happen. Even in Hollywood.
Jennifer also revealed some romantic matters related to her relationship with the 50-year-old American actor, as she talked about a message from Ben that she carries with her everywhere, as this message was engraved on the engagement ring, and he says: “I will not go anywhere.” It’s like a promise by Ben to Jennifer that he’ll never be away from her.
The American star also pointed out that this is the way he used to sign his letters when their relationship returned, meaning, “Don’t worry… I’m not going anywhere.”
Also during that meeting, Lopez announced that she would release a new album entitled “This Is Me.. Now”, which is an updated version of the album she released in 2002, titled “This Is Me.. Then”.
And the American star explained that she decided to release that album, when she was reunited with the love of her life Affleck, and they decided that they would stay together forever, and that the whole message of the album is “This love exists … this is true love,” adding: “True love exists and some things last forever.” And it’s true. I want to spread this message to the world, and it takes a lot of me.”
The two stars announced their relationship for the first time in November 2002, the same month that the album “This Is Me.. Then” was released, but they separated two years later.
The couple had returned to each other in April 2021, and they got married a few months ago in a legendary ceremony, where they held a luxurious wedding, in which they lived every detail, and most importantly, its cost amounted to a 6-digit figure.
