As Fendi  celebrates its centenary, the house is bringing back one of its most iconic accessories: the Fendi Spy bag. From the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 runways, this iconic bag makes a powerful comeback, shining with a captivating blend of nostalgia and futuristic spirit, twenty years after its first launch in 2005.

Silvia Venturini Fendi created the Spy bag in a moment of personal inspiration, quickly becoming a global fashion phenomenon and a landmark at the turn of the millennium. The name, derived from its “spy” nature, was not just a metaphor; it reflected a practical function. The bag featured a hidden pocket that could be opened with a secret button, framed by a curved metal bar, adding a touch of elegance and luxury. “I liked the idea of ​​a secret pocket because a bag is where your personal items are kept. It’s an extension of you,” says Silvia. “I like the idea of ​​having something you want to keep to yourself, so I created the hidden pocket.”

Celebrating privacy 

The new version of the Fendi Spy bag maintains its signature elements: a smooth, streamlined structure, twisted handles, and luxurious materials that reflect the House’s signature leather craftsmanship. Available in two sizes: regular and mini, the bag is designed to suit all lifestyles. The mini is designed with an adjustable strap to be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or as a crossbody bag.

Luxury options

The bag comes in a wide range of materials and colors, including smooth leather in shades of black, dark brown, and honey; small versions in pastel colors such as dusty pink, mint green, and sorbetto yellow; or sheepskin in shades of tartufo and beige. There are also designs in eel skin with the classic Pequin motif in olive and burgundy. Exceptional pieces are also adorned with mink fur motifs in a chevron pattern or embroidered astrakhan fur in milky color.

Digital campaign 

The house is marking the bag’s return with an innovative digital campaign, “The Fendi Spy Bag… Returns,” directed by Stevie Dance and styled by Anna Trevelyan. The campaign showcases the bag’s allure through a modern lens that blends elegance and mystery, and features three new-generation stars: Amelia Gray (the epitome of effortless charm), Xiao Wen Ju (with her understated cosmopolitan elegance), and Gabriette (with her mysterious beauty).

The campaign invites its audience to engage in an investigation into the “Harasser of Bags,” as a collector of rare handbags tracks down her next treasure, tracking down surveillance cameras around the world in search of the irresistible symbol: the Fendi
