Pop giant Elton John has expressed his indescribable happiness that he will be the star of the Glastonbury Festival in 2023, in what could be the final British show of his latest tour, according to British news agency BA Media. The British festival will return to Somerset from 21-21 June 25 next year, as previously confirmed. Announcing the news yesterday morning, the Glastonbury Festival tweeted: “We are thrilled to announce that Elton John will be the star of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2023, for what will be the final show of his last ever tour.”
“I couldn’t be happier to be on stage at the Pyramid Stage,” said John. And as my Farwell Yellow Brick Road tour comes to an end, there is no more appropriate way to say goodbye to my British fans.” The world tour, which includes 300 dates, is scheduled to end next summer and conclude its tours after a career that spanned 52 years.
