The famous social networking platform, Twitter, decided to raise the subscription price for its distinguished service “Twitter Blue”, about 8 months after its launch. Twitter Blue, which was launched in the US and New Zealand last November, allows subscribers to pay for features and functionality not available to general subscription users, such as the ability to edit a tweet after clicking the post button, and to read posts without ads. The cost of the new service subscription was initially $3 per month, but it has increased to $5 per month as of last Thursday. The website Cnet.com, which specializes in technology issues, indicated that the increase will only apply to new subscribers at the present time, as existing subscribers will not pay any increase in the value of their monthly subscription until next October
