Tom Cruise tops the list of the 10 highest-grossing films in Saudi Arabia


The world famous star, Tom Cruise, topped the list of the 10 most profitable films in Saudi cinemas, during the period between 2018 and 2022, the period that witnessed the opening of cinemas in Saudi cities.

According to the famous “Sollywood Film” website, which monitors the sales of films around the world and the audience’s demand for them, the list included the total revenues achieved by films until the end of last September.


According to the “Sollywood Film” website, the star Tom Cruise movie “Top Gun: Maverick” came in first place, achieving revenues of 84,102,903 Saudi riyals.

The film revolves around the pilot “Maverick”, after spending more than thirty years in the Air Force, where he was among the best pilots, but he avoids progress in the rank that will put him in a different position with his work, and continues to develop his capabilities, until “Maverick” finds himself in charge He trains a battalion of Top Gun graduates for a specific mission that a live pilot has never done before.

As for the fifth place, the movie “For Zico”, starring Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, with revenues amounted to 41,554,820 Saudi riyals, while the movie “Uncle” by Egyptian artist Mohamed Imam came in sixth place with revenues of 39,628,962 Saudi riyals.

The movie “The Batman” came in seventh place with revenues of 37,248,366 Saudi riyals, while “Joker” came in eighth place with revenues of 37,058,369 Saudi riyals.

The movie “Cruella” ranked ninth with revenues of 34,397.811 Saudi riyals, and “Minions: The Rise of Gru” came in tenth place with revenues of 32,276,963 Saudi riyals.


According to the “Soliday Film” website, there are 59 cinemas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spread over twenty cities, and these houses include 544 screens, and have shown 285 films during the last four years.
