Murex d'Or crowns its 21st award-winning stars

The Murex d’Or Prize, in its twenty-first session, which was held yesterday evening, Sunday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, under the slogan “Rise up, Lebanon”, brought the spotlight back to the Lebanese art scene in an impressive manner, after the negative atmosphere dominated the artistic movement there for several years. As a result of the “Corona” pandemic, the explosion of the port of Beirut, as well as the difficult economic conditions that Lebanon is going through.

The Murex d’Or is an annual Lebanese award, which began for the first time in 2000, founded by doctors Zahi and Fadi Helou, to recognize the achievements made in the field of art in Lebanon, the Arab region and the world, and they have been holding it annually to honor Arab stars and celebrities in various artistic fields. 
This year, the Murex d’Or awards were divided into these categories:

Best Arab Actor Award: Syrian artist Muhammad Al-Ahmad for the two series: “To Death 2” and “The Bride of Beirut 3”. 

Best Lebanese Actress Award: Maguy Boghosn, for the series “To Moot 2”. 

Best Lebanese Actor Award for Badi’ Abu Chakra, for his role in the series: “Let El Moot 2” and “Al Bara’a”.

Distinguished march award in the field of singing: Tunisian singer Latifa. 

Best Popular Star Award: Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan. 

Best Arab Singing Star Award: Lebanese singer Melhem Zein. 

Jury Prize for Excellence for the artist Cyrine Abdel Nour, for her role in the series “Dor Al-Omar”. 

The Lebanese Singing Star of the Year Award, and the best Lebanese song “Fauda”: Lebanese singer Carole Samaha. 
– The prize for the dance category for the Lebanese group Mayas. 
– The award for the best Lebanese series this year, “For Death 2”, produced by Jamal Sinan. 
– Best Hit Song Award: Egyptian child Mohamed Osama for the song “Al-Ghazala Raika”. 
– Distinguished Turkish Actress Award: Yıldız, the heroine of the series “The Forbidden Apple”. 
– Best Arab Actress Award: Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby, for the series “Btloo Al-Rouh”. 

The Distinguished March in Acting Award: Egyptian actress Ilham Shaheen. 
The award for the best Arab series of the year: “Batloo Al-Rouh” series, which was received by producer Sadiq Al-Sabah. 
Entertainment Entrepreneur Award: Lebanese artist Joe Ashkar. 
– Best Video Clip Award: Lebanese singer Jad Choueiri, for the song “Ahlan wa Sahlan”. 
Best Cinematography Award: “Broken Keys,” directed by Jimmy Keyrouz, starring Adel Karam, Sarah Abi Kanaan, and Tariq Yaqoub, after a competition with the movie “Ashab Wala Aziz.” 
– Best Supporting Role Award in the Acting Field: Lebanese actress Nawal Kamal, for the series “To Death 2”. 
Best Dramatic Screenplay Award: Writer Nadine Jaber, for the series “To Death 2”. 
– Creativity Award in Acting for the artist Takla Chamoun, for the series: “The Bride of Beirut” and “The Visit”.
