Madinah: Al-Qiblatain Mosque opens its doors to worshippers 24 hours a day

Under the direction of King Salman bin Abdulaziz

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, directed that the Qiblatain Mosque in Medina be opened (24) hours a day, to facilitate worshippers at all times

In the same context, Prince Salman bin Sultan, Governor of Madinah and Chairman of the Board of the Region’s Development Authority, commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for their generous and constant care for the Houses of God, and their constant commitment to enhancing the services provided to the Guests of God

He said: “This generous directive is an extension of the state’s special attention to the houses of God, foremost among them the Two Holy Mosques, embodying the Kingdom’s mission to serve Islam and Muslims.”

Prince Salman bin Sultan stressed that maximum efforts would be made to care for the service of the Two Qiblas Mosque and to facilitate the affairs of its visitors, based on its religious and historical status, and to enable worshippers to perform their duties with ease and peace of mind, pointing out that the concerned authorities have begun to complete the necessary operational procedures to ensure the mosque’s readiness around the clock (24) hours.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Sheikh explained that this directive underscores the leadership’s commitment to preserving the houses of God and providing the utmost comfort for their visitors, particularly historic mosques, which hold a special place in the hearts of Muslims.

He noted the mosque’s readiness for 24-hour operation and its provision of services to ensure worshippers’ comfort. He explained that the ministry is proceeding with implementing specific projects to develop mosques, in line with the goals of Vision 2030 and reflecting the Kingdom’s pioneering role in serving Islam and Muslims
