
Ticket holders for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will spend exorbitant amounts just to park their cars at next year’s tournament, with prices on FIFA’s official website reaching $175 per parking ticket.
These figures, first published by The Athletic, astonished sports fans in America, a country known for its reliance on cars and one of the three host countries for the championship, along with Canada and Mexico.

Parking for the quarter-final game in Kansas City on July 11 will cost ticket holders $125, while parking for group stage games costs $75.
As for FIFA, which used flexible pricing for the first phase of ticket sales for the tournament, the price of tickets to attend matches in the group stage started at $60.
Only a few of the 16 stadiums that will host World Cup matches in Canada, Mexico and the United States had put their private parking tickets on sale online until Tuesday.
