With this show, “Dubai Opera” transports its audience from the worlds of the vibrant artistic show, presented by the “Georgia Ballet Ensemble”, based on the melodies of the music of the famous Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, to the worlds of the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi and “La Traviata”, the opera consisting of three Scenes, from the play “The Lady of the Camellia”, adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas Jr.
One of the world’s masterpieces in the field, this opera contains one of the most famous, romantic and tragic pieces of music ever, and Verdi’s enchanting masterpiece contrasts magnificent party scenes with delicate moments in a captivating performance that captures the eye.
A tragic love story
La Traviata tells the story of the tragic love between prostitute Violetta and romantic Alfredo Germont, a love that contrasts with the hypocrisy of modern upper-class society and threatens to embarrass the Alfredo family.
When his father directly implores Violetta to give up her one chance at happiness, Violetta gives in, and her sacrifice pays a heavy price she did not expect. The author of this opera, Giuseppe Verdi, is the owner of many famous operas, such as the opera “Othello” and the opera “Aida”, which he composed for Khedive Ismail to be shown specially at the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal.

The Dubai Opera program continues on September 17 with the concert “Ghostly Kisses”, which represents an integrated musical project by Margot Sauvé, French-Canadian singer and songwriter, and the show will be held during one evening only at Dubai Opera.
The concert will be the largest so far and the only one for the artist “Sofieh” in the Middle East and North Africa. On September 23-24, Dubai Opera will host the world’s largest tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson in Dubai for the first time ever, and the show includes a selection of his most famous songs.
These timeless songs are performed by Rodrigo Tezer, who offers a world-class performance that includes the life and work of Michael Jackson, with choreography and special costumes designed by Lavel Smith, the dancer and choreographer of the King of Pop himself, that takes us back in time to the golden days of the King of Pop.
