The famous electronic music group “M83”, nominated for a Grammy Award, announced that it will present a long-awaited show at the Dubai Opera Theater on June 15th, and will present the audience with an unforgettable night of the most beautiful pieces of its most famous musical acts, such as Midnight City, Wait, and Reunion. And others, in a live ceremony. M83 is the musical vision of French musician, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Anthony Gonzalez, who discovered his passion for music when he received his first guitar after a leg injury in his teens left him unable to continue playing football.
Together with his friend Nicola Fromango, Gonzalez formed their first band, called My Violent Wish. The band recorded its first demo album and signed a contract with Gooom Records, which paved the way for the birth of M83.
On this occasion, Anthony Gonzalez, lead singer of the band “M83” said: “I am delighted to be on stage in Dubai this summer. It has been a long time since my last visit to this city, and I have no doubt that this performance will be special, evocative, and most of all, very interesting. I am really looking forward to meeting our fans in the region and I hope we will gain their support and appreciation for our music.”
In 2003, the band released their second album, Dead Cities Red Seas & Lost Ghost, which marked the beginning of a new era in the history of French music. The duo won critical acclaim with their new take on electronic music.
