Today, the FIFA World Cup tournament kicks off with the opening match between Qatar, the host of the tournament, and its Ecuadorian counterpart in Group A competitions.
The opening match and the rest of the matches of this important sporting event will be broadcast on several channels, and the “BN Sports” channel network, which owns the rights to broadcast the 2022 World Cup matches in the Middle East and North Africa, will be the most prominent exclusive broadcaster of the tournament matches.
And “BN Sports” announced, on Friday, that its sports channels will broadcast 22 out of 64 matches in the 2022 World Cup, on its open channels in the Middle East and North Africa, while the rest of the matches will be broadcast on its encrypted channels.
The Qatari Cup channels also announced that they have obtained the rights to broadcast all the World Cup matches, and the opening match will be broadcast on “Alkass EXTRA One HD” and “Alkass EXTRA TWO HD”.
Other channels from around the world obtained the rights to broadcast the Qatar World Cup matches, but most of them will transmit these matches via terrestrial broadcasts, and other channels have obtained the rights to broadcast a limited number of matches.
