The movie “The Challenge”, which was filmed aboard the International Space Station, will start in Russia on April 20, according to the Russian agency “Tass”.
Russian cosmonauts are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this film to the International Space Station, where they intend to watch it.
This was stated on Wednesday, April 6, by Russian cosmonaut Dmitry Petilin, who held a press conference with the crew of the space station, and said: “First, we are waiting for this film to arrive at the station, and secondly, our fellow pioneers Pyotr Dubov, Anton Shpaklerov, and Oleg Novitsky participated in filming it, and we want to watch their acting performance.
Cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev said in a press conference that he had loved the fictional space movie “Moscow – Cassiopeia” since childhood, and after watching it, he was thinking of joining the astronauts.
It is noteworthy that “The Challenge” is the first movie filmed in space, and in order to direct it, the “Soyuz-MS-19” spacecraft launched to the International Space Station on October 5, 2021, with actress Yulia Peresild and film director Clim Shipenko, after their return to Earth. They continued shooting the film on the ground.
