American singer Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34, his manager Roger Paul confirmed, citing the singer’s mother.
“She called me and said her son had died,” Paul said in a phone call.
He added that all details and circumstances will be clarified and then reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that it carried out an operation according to a report in Lancaster, California, but did not provide any details.
Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys Nick Carter, was very successful in his childhood at the end of the 1990s when he released several hit songs such as “Crash On You” and “Aaron’s Party”.
Since then, he has repeatedly tried to return to the art scene, to no avail. He undertook an international tour, one of which was in Germany in 2015.
The star has made negative headlines in the press recently. Brothers Nick and Aaron quarrel in public and exchange accusations. Nick alleged in 2019 that his younger brother had threatened the family.
He was also at odds with his twin sister Angel. Nick and Angel Carter applied for and obtained a restraining order.
