
A strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States encompasses artificial intelligence, defense, and nuclear energy.
The Saudi Crown Prince and the US President signed the Strategic Defense Agreement
on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda, including a strategic partnership for artificial intelligence.
This included the signing of a joint statement to finalize negotiations on cooperation in civil nuclear energy, and the strategic framework for partnership in securing supply chains for uranium, metals, permanent magnets and critical minerals.
The two sides signed an agreement to facilitate procedures for accelerating Saudi investments, and financial and economic partnership arrangements for economic prosperity, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
An agreement was signed concerning arrangements for cooperation in the financial market authorities sector, a memorandum of understanding in the field of education and training, and letters concerning vehicle safety standards.
The Saudi Crown Prince and the US President signed the Strategic Defense Agreement.
This agreement comes within the framework of the strategic partnership and deep-rooted historical ties that have united the two countries for more than ninety years, and represents a pivotal step that strengthens the long-term defense partnership and reflects the two sides’ shared commitment to supporting peace, security and prosperity in the region
The agreement affirms that the Kingdom and the United States are security partners capable of working together to confront regional and international challenges and threats, thereby deepening long-term defense coordination, enhancing deterrence capabilities and raising the level of readiness, in addition to developing and integrating defense capabilities between the two parties.
The agreement also establishes a solid framework for a continuous and sustainable defense partnership, contributing to the strengthening of the security and stability of both countries.
The Saudi-American summit was held under the chairmanship of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and President Donald Trump, during which aspects of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States were reviewed, as well as joint efforts to develop the level of strategic partnership between the two friendly countries in various fields. In addition, regional and international developments were discussed, and ways to enhance security and stability at the regional and international levels were explored, in addition to a number of topics of common interest and the efforts made regarding them.
The White House held an official welcoming ceremony for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman yesterday, where horsemen accompanied his motorcade upon arrival, followed by a review of the honor guard, while the military band played music, and a 19-gun salute was fired in welcome of the Crown Prince. Commemorative photos were also taken at the entrance to the White House.
The Crown Prince and the US President watched an air military display in which a group of warplanes flew over the capital, Washington, in welcome of Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Following that, President Trump accompanied the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on a tour of the White House
