Pierpaolo Piccioli, senior designer at the Valentino fashion house, and model Bella Hadid joined the winners of the Fashion Awards, which were announced in London on Monday.
Piccioli, who is the creative director of the Italian luxury brand, was awarded Designer of the Year at the annual ceremony. Model Bella Hadid was also named Model of the Year.
“For me, fashion has a responsibility,” Piccioli told Reuters in a red carpet interview before the awards were announced. “I feel like I have a voice and I want to use it even for those who don’t have a voice.”
Other winners included Yvonne Chouinard, founder of ready-to-wear brand Patagonia, who received the Achievement Award. Chouinard announced in September that he would donate the clothing company to a fund to use its profits for efforts to combat climate change.
The (Burberry) brand won the award for the best experience in the world of metaverse and games for breaking into the virtual world.
